Ford dealers also refer to it as a speed control servo.

To gain access to the unit, you have to jack up the car and removed the plastic inner fender well. There should be a couple of screws in the front where it attaches to the metal fender, a few at the back where it attaches under the car and 1 screw at the inside top of the fender. Additionally there are 3 black plastic push in tabs that need to be removed. Just bend it together and pull it out.

The unit has 2 bolts that hold it to the support bracket and the bracket has 2 screws that bolt it to the car. Remove the bracket from the car and you can then remove the bracket from the servo.

The servo has vacuum lines and a cable that run threw the car body and attach at various points. A cable attaches to the throttle body and one of the vacuum lines plugs into a black plastic connector on the firewall inside the engine compartment.

There is also an electrical connector and vacuum line that runs through the firewall via a black rubber plug. Both attach under the dash. That vacuum line runs to the top of the brake pedal, the electrical connector plugs into a unit mounted behind the drivers side kick panel. The clips that hold it in place are hard to get to as they face the connector box. I used a set of micro screwdrivers to get in there and pop the clips. You have to remove the one in front to get to the one in back. The one in the back is the one for the cruise control.

Total time involved takes about an hour to complete. The hex screws are 5/32" or 4mm. You can use a 1/4" ratchet with a 5/32" or 4mm socket. Gotta get now brake pads and rotors first off. From what I remember(haven't really driven her in so long) got some suspension stuff to look at....probably more than what I want to know but, oh well.
